Finally, the Pakistanis are back to what they do the best in Cricket. Time and time again they have proved that they are the Kings Of Ball tampering. They used Chewing Gum, Mint, a Bottle Cap of a Soft Drinks Bottle and now Shahid Afridi’s mouth. Finally the blabber mouth came to some use for the Pakistanis.

Shahid Afridi on Monday made a feeble attempt at defending his ban-inviting ball-biting antic in Perth before making a startling allegation that all teams indulge in such ball-tampering acts. Shahid Afridi was caught on camera during the Final ODI at Perth against Australia, Afridi did flip-flops, first claiming he was trying to “smell” the ball, then reckoning he was trying to help the bowler “in a wrong way” before apologising for the “mad thing”.He then went on to claim that ball-tampering is nothing new in cricket and it’s only that his “methods were wrong”.

“My methods were wrong. I am embarrassed, I shouldn’t have done it. I just wanted to win us a game but this was the wrong way to do it,” Afridi said. He also went on to say that all the teams were involved in Ball Tampering in some way or the other. Incidentally, TV footage surfaced in Pakistan in which the player was apaprently seen admitting to and advocating ball-tampering. He was trying to justify himself by saying that he was frustruated by the recent losses of Pakistan to Australia and he wanted to help his bowlers by doing so, but at the same time he did not even have the brains to know that there were so many cameras who were capturing him. Even a commentator was heard saying “Dude, if you are hungry you better go to the pavilion and have something rather than biting the ball thinking of it as an apple.” This isnt the first time that Shahid Afridi has been found guilty for such things, he was found guilty on tampering the pitch by twisting his spikes on the pitch to help the bowlers.

Inazamam Ul Haq has been quoted saying that “What Afridi did was unacceptable and more worrying is the fact that he was captain when he tried to tamper with the ball, The match referee Ranjan Madugalle has been kind to Afridi, giving him just a two-match ban or else Afridi could have been in bigger trouble.”

There is no doubt that Pakistan has very good players in their kitty, however players like Shahid Afridi are just ruining the reputation of The Pakistani Cricket and The Cricket Fraternity on the Whole!!!!!!!!!!!
